The digital collection contains photographs and images of embroideries made by Salvadoran women exiled in the refugee camps of Honduras during the Salvadoran Civil War. The digital exhibition linked below provides contextual information about the conflict and the recent efforts to recover the stories of these women and their communities. The materials are part of a larger collection curated by the Museo de la Imagen y la Palabra, which also created a traveling exhibition. The exhibition panels are also included in the collection.
